Hand-Cut Envelopes at Lion in the Sun

I was looking over a copy of the new Greencraft magazine and they had a piece about handmade envelopes that got my mind to thinkin'.... I got out the scissors and the bone folder and the gluestick and started cutting up old auction and font catalogs, travel guides, magazines... all the space-eating ephemera (there's an oxymoron) we collagists accummulate without cease. It is a pleasure to see so much old paper go to such good use. My dear friends&fans at Lion in the Sun stationers in Park Slope just bought 30 for their store; see their blogpost about it here. I'm about to make the rounds of city card shops – tell me if you know a place I should know about....

May 2011: Book-related cards are now for sale at the Community Bookstore on 7th Ave in the Slope.....
